Camilla & Stephen got married in the pretty village of Alfriston. After the ceremony they held the rest of the day’s celebrations in the War Memorial Hall, just next door.

A well proportioned hall with attractive beams and a separate room that lends itself perfectly to a bar area, we are no strangers to this popular venue. Camilla and Stephen added to the space by adding a marquee onto the lawned area at the side of the hall, which made it a really perfect space.
The happy couple and their guests had Champagne in the marquee, as well as canape that consisted of: Mini Homemade Cheeseburgers, Mini Toad in the Hole, Chicken Liver Parfait filled crispy Filo Tarts, Mediterranean Vegetable Bruschetta, Goat’s Cheese Bites, and Ham & Cheese Croquettes.
We’re big fans of the village hall, because the thousands you save on the venue, you can spend on having fabulous food and drink, and inviting all the people you want to! That’s exactly what Camilla and Stephen did. They loved our Premium menu, and their guests obviously did too.
On the menu to start were a Trio of Salmon and Tomato, Basil & Mozzarella Salad with Pesto. The vegans had our amazing Carrot & Cashew Nut Pate with Toasted Focaccia.
For mains the guests pre-ordered from either Slow-roasted Shoulder of Lamb served with Boulangere Potatoes & Mediterranean Vegetables or a Filo Basket filled with a Wild Mushroom & Spinach Ragout served with Root Vegetable Mash.

The show-stopper dessert was a Trio of Desserts made up of a warm Treacle Sponge, Zesty Lemon Pot and a Strawberry Pavlova.
With everyone fed and watered most people headed for the bar and the marquee for the evening’s entertainment.
Later on the guests enjoyed a Cheese Board with Accompaniments with some additional Meat Platters of Ham & Continental Meats.
A day of fabulous food in a lovely setting. We’re so pleased that Camilla and Stephen enjoyed their day & we thank them for their kind words (see testimonial – left).
Camilla & Stephen planned their big day in great details and were a pleasure to deal with. Hopefully they’ll find another reason for a get-together at this lovely village hall.
